If I could rewind time and give my younger self one gift, it wouldn’t be a new pair of cleats or a highlight reel—it would be access to the kind of performance training we now offer at Well Street Fitness, powered by Parisi Speed School.
Growing up, I poured everything into my athletics. I trained hard, played harder, and pushed through pain like most young athletes do. But what I didn’t have was a system. I didn’t have coaches who understood how to build speed safely, how to strengthen joints before they failed, or how to teach movement patterns that would protect my body for years to come. I didn’t have Parisi.
Now, as a performance coach and someone who still deals with lingering injuries from my youth, I see the gaps in my own athletic foundation. The knee pain that flares up during squats, the shoulder tightness that limits overhead work—these aren’t just wear and tear. They’re the result of missed opportunities. Opportunities that today’s athletes don’t have to miss.
At Well Street Fitness, our youth programs are built to do more than just improve performance—they’re designed to protect it. From ages 7 and up, we teach kids how to move well before they move fast. Our Parisi system has helped over a million athletes, including Olympians and pros, build speed, strength, and resilience through science-backed training.
Here’s what I wish I had back then:
Watching our young athletes today—whether they’re chasing college athlete dreams or just learning to love movement—I see what’s possible when training is done right. They’re faster, stronger, and more confident. But more importantly, they’re safer. They’re building habits and mechanics that will serve them for life, not just for a season.
So when I say “I wish I had this growing up,” it’s not just nostalgia—it’s a call to action. If you’re a parent, coach, or young athlete reading this, know that the opportunity is here. Don’t wait until pain becomes your teacher. Let performance training be your guide.
Let’s build stronger athletes—and healthier futures—together.
